An initial consultation involves a thorough history and physical examination. Prior your visit, we will obtain relevant test results and request medical records from your physicians. We may ask you to obtain a CD of imaging studies so that the doctor can review the test results with you. We believe that it is essential to review the actual images before making a decision about surgery. In some instances, Dr. Ortiz, will perform a pelvic ultrasound to inform her surgical decisions. After your examination, the doctor will discuss a plan, may order additional tests, and will answer your questions. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member to your consultation. We believe in dialogue and will answer your questions. We try to give you as much information as we can in order to make the best treatment decision and have the best possible outcome.
